Data Analysis - Catching the butterfly in Brazil
Who are your clients? How is that project or program going? Why does your organisation exist? These days gathering data is easy - almost too easy. Want to find out about your competitors, jump online. Want to figure out what your clients want, whip out a mail chimp survey. Want to see how your business is doing, pop up some charts in your accounting software. But what does it all really mean?
Does the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil set of a tornado in Texas?
Data analysis starts well before a chart hits the page. You need to be sure of the question you want to ask before you begin. Of course, I hear you say - but asking the right question is very important. If you're counting butterfly's in Brazil, do you want to know how many butterfly's there are in Brazil, or are you trying to predict tornadoes in Texas.

Information Management - Better information not more data
Today's online reality is that we are swimming (some might say drowning) in a sea of data. How do you find that nugget of quality information amongst all that noise? You could take the 'NSA' approach and hoover up as much as you can in the hope that you'll be able to sift out what you need - but I'm sure you've got better things to do with your life!
Kirkley Consulting can help you unlock the value of the information within your organisation. We can devise systems and processes to improve your organisation's effectiveness in managing data appropriately. Through our information management audit process, we identify key data points that are important to you.
Process Management - A better way
There are lots of ways to look at an organisation. It's a legal entity, a financial concern, a group of individuals (hopefully) working together, an idea, an ideal. An organisation is also a process. You take some inputs - say people, ideas and time - stir it around within the organisation and come out with an output or end product.
That bit in the middle is often an organic thing that has grown up with your organisation. As new needs arise, adjustments are made and new bits added to the machine to keep the machine running. Eventually you end up with sticky tape and elastic bands holding key bits together.
At Kirkley Consulting we believe in maximising the human factor in the orgnaistional processes. By empowering individuals to improve and coordinate individual processes, the overall machine can work more efficiently. More importantly, this bottom up approach breeds higher levels of satisfaction and buy-in to the organisation. If an individual is driving the change, there is less likelyhood of resistance to change!
However, that said, without top level commitment, process imporvment will stagnate. Kirkley Consulting works closely with management to manage the transition to ensure that process improvement graduates from a project to a core culture of the organisation.
Personal Productivity - It's personal
We all know about it. We wish we were better at it. We might have even tried out some magic tools to help us get there. Yet we always seem to fall short of our expectations. Why is it that we just can't seem to clear those in boxes (yes there's more than one)?
We can work together to develop techniques to allow you to get on top of your life.
