Some Pics
I'm feeling a bit lazy today, so I thought I'd just post a few interesting pics...
Shez with a friend she met in Somaliland. Apparently she never stops laughing (not sure which one that refers to!).
The wall just outside Kalandia Checkpoint. More on this later.
Shez and I with a Gazan friend she met while running a training course. We were sitting down to have ice cream and sheeshas. Well, what else do you do on a hot middle eastern day?
Shez looking at the sunset from the Gaza office. We've got a ton of great sunset shots. Gaza only has about 10 rainy days a year, so there are plenty of sunsets to choose from!
We made it back to Gaza in time to make it to the play our friend was co-directing/producing for kids (including her daughters) at the local YMCA. The play was called Snow Queen and was very good. The kids, ranging in age from about 5 to 14, seemed to enjoy themselves. Despite it being in Arabic, I think I understood the plot (as well as I'd understand one in English anyway). The plot went something like the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.
